Ingredients
For the Dough (Fathead Dough – Keto Friendly)
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
For the Filling
- ½ lb ribeye steak or ground beef, thinly sliced or crumbled
- ½ small onion, thinly sliced
- ½ small green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
For the Topping
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Dough
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt mozzarella and cream cheese together in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- Stir in almond flour, baking powder, egg, garlic powder, dried oregano, and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough with your hands until smooth, then roll it out between two sheets of parchment paper into a rectangle (about ¼-inch thick).
Step 2: Prepare the Filling
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
- Cook the steak, onions, and bell peppers until the meat is browned and veggies are soft.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper, then remove from heat.
Step 3: Assemble the Breadsticks
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over one half of the dough.
- Spread the Philly cheesesteak mixture evenly over the cheese.
- Add the remaining cheese on top of the steak mixture.
- Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges to seal.
- Cut into breadstick-sized portions and transfer to the baking sheet.
Step 4: Bake & Finish
- Brush the tops with melted butter mixed with garlic powder and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
