1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or any other low-carb cheese of your choice)
Optional seasonings like garlic powder, onion powder, or herbs for added flavor (avoid using sugar or high-carb seasonings)
Instructions:
Preheat your waffle maker or chaffle maker.
In a bowl, whisk the egg until well beaten.
Add the shredded mozzarella cheese to the beaten egg and mix well. If using optional seasonings, add them at this stage.
Once the waffle maker is hot, pour half of the chaffle batter into the center of the waffle maker (the amount may vary depending on the size of your waffle maker).
Close the lid and cook the chaffle until it’s golden brown and crispy. This usually takes about 3-5 minutes, but cooking times may vary depending on your waffle maker.
Carefully remove the chaffle from the waffle maker and repeat the process with the remaining batter to make the second chaffle.
Let the chaffles cool slightly before assembling your breakfast sandwich.
