Keto Cheese Buns

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2.5 cups shredded cheese (such as cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
  • Seasoning of choice (garlic, Everything But the Bagel seasoning, or your preferred blend)

For the Wet Ingredients:

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream (or sour cream)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Prepare the Dry Ingredients:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the almond flour, baking powder, and shredded cheese. Use your hands to mix the ingredients together thoroughly, ensuring the cheese is well distributed.

3. Prepare the Wet Ingredients:

  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy whipping cream (or sour cream) until well combined and slightly frothy.

4. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

  1. Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Mix well until a dough forms and all ingredients are evenly combined.

5. Shape the Buns:

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray it with cooking spray (such as Pam) to prevent sticking.
  2. Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet to form 9 evenly spaced buns.

6. Bake:

  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the tops of the buns are golden brown and firm to the touch.

7. Serve:

  1. Allow the cheese buns to cool slightly before serving. They are perfect on their own, or as a side to soups, salads, or any meal.

Additional Notes:

  • If you prefer a different seasoning, feel free to adjust according to your taste. Garlic and Everything But the Bagel seasoning add a great flavor to the buns.
  • These buns have approximately 3 grams of carbs each if you make 9 buns from the recipe.
