  • 1 purple onion, sliced thinly into long strips
  • 1-2 tablespoons unseasoned meat tenderizer (optional, for added tenderness)
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup water (for baking)
  • Cooking spray or a light brush of oil (for greasing the baking dish)
  • Aluminum foil

Instructions:
