Ingredients:

Instructions:
- Prepare the Dough:

- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add cold water and mix until the dough comes together.
- Form the dough into a disc, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
- Prepare the Filling:
- In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and garlic, sauté until onions are translucent.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Season with cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add chopped hard-boiled egg, olives, and raisins if using. Mix well. Remove from heat and let the filling cool.
- Assemble the Empanadas:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness.
- Using a round cutter or a small plate, cut circles from the dough (about 4-6 inches in diameter).
- Place a spoonful of the beef filling in the center of each circle.
- Fold and Seal:
- Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape.
- Press the edges together to seal and use a fork to crimp the edges.
- Bake:
- Place the assembled empanadas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown.
