Keto Birria Tacos

Ingredients required for keto birria tacos:

  • 2 lbs. Ox Tails
  • Two lbs. Beef Sirloin
  • 2 Qt Beef Stock
  • 4 tbsp. Tomato paste
  • White Onion
  • 8 cloves Garlic
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tbsp. black peppercorns
  • One tbsp. whole coriander seeds
  • 1 Bunch Cilantro
  • 2 tbsp. real salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsps. Coconut Aminos
  • 4 Dried Pasilla pepper
  • 4 dried Guajillo pepper
  • 2 dried Ancho chile
  • 4 Bay leaves
  • 1 tbsp. Mexican oregano

Additional Ingredients birria queso tacos:

  •   24 low carb tortillas
  •    2 cups Shredded Cheese
  •    2 tbsps. Avocado oil or Lard (pork fat)
  •    1 Lime Optional Garnish

How to prepare easy birria tacos recipe :

1    Firstly, we have to create a sachet bag by using garlic, Cinnamon sticks, Cilantro Stems, Coriander and Peppercorns and leave it to set it aside.

2   Now remove the stems and seeds of all dried pepper.

3   Take a large pan over medium high heat and add Avocado oil.

4   When heated up the oil add diced onions and sauté well and add tomato paste, coconut aminos, Worcestershire and oregano and sauté well till well combined.

5    Now add sachet bag, beef stock, dried peppers and cook for 1 minute.

6    Now take a microwave pot and add this mixture in the oven and let it cook for 1-2 hours and keep the heat low.

7    When you see oxtails are tender remove all the meat and bones and also remove the sachet bag.

8    Take a blender and add dried peppers into it and add 3 cups of broth and blend it well.

9    Pour this mixture into the pot.
