Here’s a detailed recipe for Keto Breakfast Pizza:

Ingredients:

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup Carbquik baking mix
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the Sausage Gravy:

  • 1/2 lb breakfast sausage
  • 2 tablespoons Carbquik baking mix
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Toppings:

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Additional cooked sausage, crumbled (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Making the Crust:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine Carbquik baking mix, melted butter, grated parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  • Mix until a dough forms.
  • Press the dough evenly onto a greased pizza pan or baking sheet, forming a thin crust.
  • Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.

3. Preparing the Sausage Gravy:

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and cooked through, breaking it up into small pieces.
  • Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of Carbquik baking mix over the cooked sausage and stir to combine, allowing the mixture to cook for another minute.
  • Gradually pour in the unsweetened almond milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
  • Continue to cook the gravy until it thickens to your desired consistency.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Scrambling the Eggs:

  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until well mixed.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and pour in the beaten eggs.
  • Cook the eggs, stirring gently, until they are scrambled and cooked through.

5. Assembling the Pizza:

  • Once the crust is baked, spread the prepared sausage gravy evenly over the crust, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Spread the scrambled eggs evenly over the sausage gravy layer.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the scrambled eggs.
  • If desired, sprinkle additional cooked sausage crumbles over the cheese.

6. Final Bake:

  • Return the assembled pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

7. Serving:
