Here’s a detailed recipe for making them:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend works well)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
  • 1 large egg

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, shredded cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
  3. Crack the egg into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Mix everything together until a dough forms. You may need to use your hands to knead the dough and ensure all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  4. Once the dough is formed, place it onto the prepared baking sheet. Using your hands or a rolling pin, flatten the dough into a thin, even layer. Aim for about 1/8 inch thickness.
  5. Use a knife or pizza cutter to cut the flattened dough into small chip-sized pieces. You can make them any shape you like, such as triangles or squares.
