Mediterranean Turkey Burgers with Spinach, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Feta, and Red Onion, served with Dilly Yogurt Sauce

Ingredients:

For the Dilly Yogurt Sauce:

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pink salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped dill
  • 1/2 cup finely diced cucumber

For the Turkey Burgers:

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh spinach
  • 1/4 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes (packed in oil, drained)
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pink salt, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dilly Yogurt Sauce:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the plain Greek yogurt, pink salt, garlic powder, lemon juice, fresh chopped dill, and finely diced cucumber. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Cover the bowl and refrigerate until ready

to serve.

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, finely chopped red onion, chopped fresh spinach, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, crumbled feta cheese, dried oregano, garlic powder, and pink salt. Mix all the ingredients together until well combined.
  3. Divide the turkey mixture into equal portions and form them into burger patties of your desired size and thickness. Make sure to press down the center of each patty slightly to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.
  4. Place the turkey burgers on the preheated grill or grill pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have reached an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  5. While the burgers are cooking, you can lightly toast your keto-friendly burger buns if desired.
  6. Once the turkey burgers are cooked through, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  7. Serve the Mediterranean Turkey Burgers on the toasted keto buns (or lettuce wraps for a lower carb option), topped with a generous dollop of the Dilly Yogurt Sauce. You can also add extra toppings such as fresh lettuce, tomato slices, or avocado slices if desired.
