Keto Philly Cheesesteak Sliders Recipe

These sliders make for a delicious low-carb meal that captures the classic flavors of a Philly cheesesteak.

Ingredients:

For Keto Dinner Rolls:

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour
  • 1/4 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

For Philly Cheesesteak Sliders:

  • 1 lb shaved ribeye
  • 1/2 lb deli-sliced provolone cheese
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 large white onion, thinly sliced
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

For Keto Dinner Rolls:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, ground flaxseed, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, melted butter, and sour cream.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  5. Grease a 10.5″ cast-iron skillet and spread the dough evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown. Allow to cool, then carefully slice into 12 rolls.

For Philly Cheesesteak Sliders:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large 10.5″ cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter.
  3. Add the shaved ribeye to the skillet and brown for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the thinly sliced bell pepper and onion to the skillet with the steak. Cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the peppers and onions are soft. Season with salt to taste.
  5. Carefully slice the pre-baked keto dinner rolls in half and place the bottom halves back into the skillet.
  6. Spoon the beef, pepper, and onion mixture onto the bottom layer of the rolls.
  7. Top the beef mixture with deli-sliced provolone cheese.
  8. Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese.
  9. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. If the tops of the rolls start to brown too quickly, cover with foil.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing into individual sliders.
