Keto Pretzel Bites with Cheese Sauce Recipe


For the Pretzel Bites:

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 oz cream cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Coarse sea salt, for topping

For the Cheese Sauce:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon mustard powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Pretzel Bites:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella and cream cheese. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the almond flour, baking powder, and garlic powder.
  4. Add the almond flour mixture and the egg to the melted cheese mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  5. Divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion into a ball. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. In a small bowl, beat an egg. Brush the egg wash over the pretzel bites.
  7. Sprinkle coarse sea salt over the pretzel bites.

  3. Stir in the mustard powder, salt, and pepper. Continue to cook and stir until the sauce is smooth and well combined.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before serving.
