If you’ve ever felt yourself dragging through your day, even though Keto is supposed to give you more energy…Well, then I have the perfect cure for you.

Ketogenic fat bombs are small snacks or treats that are high in fat and low in carbs (so, literally a fat bomb) that you can eat as a quick breakfast, as a quick mid-afternoon snack, as a pre- or after- workout snack, or as extra fuel during your day.

An search for “fat bombs” will show you a dizzying array of recipes, both sweet and savoury, ranging in flavours from chocolate to bacon.

Fat bombs are the perfect mid-day snack, on-the-go breakfast, post-workout snack, or keto-flu cure. Anytime you need some extra fuel — aka, fat — in your system, fat bombs are a perfect solution.

But I can’t just tell you what ketogenic fat bombs are without also telling you how to make them!

So this article is a bit longer, but it covers what are ketogenic fat bombs, and 3 easy steps for making keto fat bombs.

I was playing around with a recipe I found with what I had on hand and I swear these taste like oatmeal cookies. They’re not super high in fat compared to other recipes, but they’re so good.

Ingredients

  • 130g pecans

  • 1/4 C butter, room temp

  • 1/4 C coconut oil, melted

  • 3 TBS Erythritol or other keto friendly sweetener (granulated)

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Grind pecans in food processor until crumb sized.

  2. Add all other ingredients and puree until smooth and a paste forms.

  3. Spoon into ice tray or mold and freeze for thirty minutes.

  4. Keep refrigerated. They will get soft at room temperature.

My ice trays are mini, so I got 30 mini bombs. Yours may be different, so I’ve included my macros and total macros.

Total macros:

1864 calories, 4.58g net carbs, 196g fat

Macros for 30 bombs:

63 calories, 0.15g carbs, 6.5g fat
