Juicy Ground Chicken Patties
Oh heavens, these were such a hit! All the grandkids wanted seconds and grandpa ate three of them. Safe to say I’ll be making them again and again!”
These tender, flavorful ground chicken patties are quick to prepare, packed with protein, and perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or meal prep. They’re delicious on their own, tucked into a lettuce wrap, or served alongside your favorite vegetables.
🛒 Ingredients
For the Chicken Patties
* 1 lb (450 g) ground chicken, preferably 93% lean
* ¼ cup whole-wheat breadcrumbs
OR almond flour for a lower-carb option
* 1 large egg, lightly beaten
* ¼ cup finely chopped onion
* 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
* 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
* ½ teaspoon onion powder
* ½ teaspoon garlic powder
* ¼ teaspoon paprika
* ¼ teaspoon salt, optional
* ¼ teaspoon black pepper
* Olive oil or avocado-oil cooking spray
👩🍳 Directions
1. Prepare the Chicken Mixture
Add the ground chicken, breadcrumbs or almond flour, beaten egg, chopped onion, garlic, parsley, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to a large mixing bowl.
Using clean hands or a wooden spoon, gently mix until everything is evenly combined.
Tip: Avoid overmixing. Mixing just until the ingredients come together helps keep the patties tender instead of dense.
2. Shape the Patties
Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions.
Gently shape each portion into a patty about ½ inch thick. If the mixture feels sticky, lightly wet your hands before shaping.
Place the patties on a plate while you heat your pan.
3. Cook the Patties
Heat a large non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium heat.
Lightly coat the pan with cooking spray.
Place the patties in the pan, leaving a little space between them. Cook for approximately 4–5 minutes per side, turning once.
The patties should be nicely browned on the outside and completely cooked through.
The safest way to check is with a food thermometer—the center should reach 165°F (74°C).
4. Rest
Transfer the cooked patties to a clean plate and let them rest for 2–3 minutes before serving. This helps them stay juicy.
