π©βπ³ Instructions
1. Prepare the Fish
Pat the fish fillets completely dry with paper towels. This helps them brown nicely instead of steaming.
Season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder.
2. Sear the Fish
Heat the olive oil in a large nonstick or stainless-steel skillet over medium-high heat.
Place the fish in the hot skillet and cook for approximately 3β4 minutes per side, depending on thickness.
The fish should be golden on the outside and opaque and flaky in the center. Transfer the cooked fillets to a plate.
3. Make the Lemon Butter Sauce
Reduce the heat to medium.
Add the butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sautΓ© for about 30β60 seconds, just until fragrant.
Pour in the lemon juice and broth. Add the lemon zest, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
Let the sauce gently simmer for 2β3 minutes, allowing it to reduce slightly.
4. Finish the Fish
Return the fish fillets to the skillet.
Spoon the lemon butter sauce over the fish and let everything simmer gently for 1β2 minutes.
Remove from the heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
