Chicken Bacon Ranch Stuffed Bread
Low-Carb High-Protein Chicken Bacon Ranch Stuffed Bread
Creamy, cheesy, ranch-seasoned chicken and crispy bacon stuffed into a warm low-carb bread loaf. This version is much higher in protein and lower in carbs than the traditional recipe.
Ingredients
For the bread
- 1 large low-carb, high-protein loaf or baguette
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
For the filling
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken breast
- 4 oz reduced-fat or light chive & onion cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan
- 4 slices cooked turkey bacon or lean bacon, crumbled
- 1–2 tbsp ranch seasoning mix
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or green onion
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the bread:
Slice the loaf lengthwise, but don’t cut completely through it. Gently press out some of the soft center to create space for the filling. - Make the filling:
In a large bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth. - Add the protein:
Fold in the shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, mozzarella, Parmesan, and parsley or green onion. - Stuff the bread:
Spoon the chicken mixture generously into the center of the bread and spread it evenly. - Season the top:
Mix melted butter with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Lightly brush it over the outside edges of the bread. - Bake:
Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes, until the filling is hot and the cheese is melted. - Broil for extra browning:
If desired, broil for 1–2 minutes, watching carefully, until the top becomes lightly golden. - Rest and slice:
Let it cool for about 5 minutes, then slice into portions and serve warm.
💪 Why this version is higher protein + lower carb
- Chicken breast provides most of the protein.
- Greek yogurt adds protein while replacing some of the cream cheese.
- A low-carb/high-protein bread keeps carbohydrates much lower than Italian bread.
- Turkey bacon or lean bacon can reduce the overall fat while keeping the bacon flavor.
Tip: Choose a bread with around 5 g or less net carbs and at least 10 g protein per serving for the best low-carb, high-protein result.
