Top it with sugar-free chocolate chips and a drizzle of keto-friendly chocolate sauce for an extra-indulgent finish.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Freeze Time: 15–30 minutes, if needed
Total Time: 5–30 minutes
Servings: 1 large or 2 small
Ingredients
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
½ cup full-fat cottage cheese
1 scoop chocolate protein powder (choose a low-carb option)
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1–2 tablespoons powdered monk fruit or allulose sweetener, to taste
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1–1½ cups ice cubes
1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream, optional for extra richness
1 tablespoon sugar-free chocolate chips, for topping
1 tablespoon sugar-free chocolate syrup, for drizzling
Instructions
Add the almond milk, cottage cheese, chocolate protein powder, cocoa powder, sweetener, vanilla extract, and heavy cream, if using, to a high-speed blender. Blend until completely smooth and creamy, making sure the cottage cheese is fully incorporated.
Add the ice cubes gradually and blend again until the mixture becomes thick, frosty, and spoonable. If the mixture is too thick to blend, add a small splash of almond milk. If it is too thin, add a few more ice cubes and blend briefly.
Pour into a chilled glass. Drizzle with sugar-free chocolate syrup and sprinkle sugar-free chocolate chips over the top. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon.
For an even thicker, classic frosty texture, place the blended drink in the freezer for 15–30 minutes, stirring once or twice until it reaches your preferred consistency.
Tips for the Best Keto Frosty
Choose protein powder carefully: Use an unsweetened or low-carb chocolate protein powder and check the nutrition label.
Make it extra creamy: Full-fat cottage cheese and a little heavy cream give the frosty a richer texture.
Adjust the sweetness: Different protein powders have different sweetness levels, so taste before adding extra sweetener.
Keep it keto-friendly: Use unsweetened almond milk and sugar-free toppings, and count the carbohydrates in your protein powder and cottage cheese.
Serve fresh: This drink tastes best immediately after blending because ice crystals can form if it sits too long.
Estimated nutrition per serving: Approximately 300–400 calories and 30–40 g protein if made as one large serving. Actual values depend on the protein powder, cottage cheese, and toppings used.
