Ingredients
For the garlic bread
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper (optional)
- Cooking spray or a little olive oil for greasing the pan
For serving
– 2–4 tablespoons sugar-free pizza sauce or marinara sauce
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
2. Mix the ingredients
In a bowl, combine the mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, and optional Italian seasoning. Mix thoroughly until everything is evenly combined into a thick, sticky mixture.
3. Shape the bread
Transfer the mixture to the prepared tray. Flatten it into a round pizza-shaped disc, about ¼ inch thick. Keep the thickness even so it bakes consistently.
4. Bake until golden
Bake for 15–20 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the center is set. For extra crispness, broil for another 1–2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
5. Cool and serve
Let the bread rest for 3–5 minutes so it firms up. Slice into strips or wedges and serve warm with sugar-free pizza sauce for dipping.

Tips for the best garlic bread
- For extra protein: Serve with grilled chicken or a side of Greek-yogurt garlic dip.
- For crispier edges: Spread the mixture thinly and allow the bread to cool briefly before slicing.
- For extra garlic flavor: Add 1 minced garlic clove along with the garlic powder.
- For keto: Choose a no-added-sugar pizza sauce and check its carbohydrate content.
