Servings: 12 bites

Ingredients

For the Salmon Bites:

  • 8 oz (225 g) thinly sliced smoked salmon
  • 8 oz (225 g) whipped cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • ΒΌ tsp garlic powder
  • ΒΌ tsp black pepper
  • Pinch of salt, if needed

For Garnishing:

  • 1–2 tsp everything bagel seasoning
  • Fresh dill sprigs
  • Lemon wedges
  • Extra chopped chives

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cream cheese filling: Place whipped cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Add fresh dill, chives, lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  2. Mix until fluffy: Beat with a hand mixer or whisk until smooth, creamy, and well combined. Taste and adjust the seasoning.
  3. Prepare the salmon: Lay smoked salmon slices flat on a clean cutting board. If the slices are very large, cut them into smaller strips suitable for rolling.
  4. Fill the salmon: Transfer the herb cream cheese mixture into a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe a small strip of filling along one edge of each salmon slice.
  5. Roll into bites: Gently roll each salmon slice around the cream cheese filling, forming little spirals or bite-sized rolls.
  6. Garnish: Arrange the bites on a serving platter. Sprinkle lightly with everything bagel seasoning and garnish with fresh dill and chives.
  7. Chill: Refrigerate for approximately 10 minutes to help the bites firm up and allow the flavors to blend.
  8. Serve: Finish with a tiny squeeze of fresh lemon juice just before serving.
