Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of cubed pork or veal
  • Wooden skewers
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil for frying
  • Optional: paprika, garlic powder, and other seasonings for extra flavor

Instructions:

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Thread the cubes of pork or veal onto wooden skewers, creating “drumstick”-like shapes.
  3. In a shallow bowl, beat the egg, and season it with salt and pepper. In another shallow bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and optional seasonings.
  4. Roll the skewered meat in the flour, dip it in the beaten egg, and then coat it with the breadcrumb mixture. Ensure the meat is evenly coated.
  5. Heat cooking oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the skewers until they are golden brown on all sides, which should take about 2-3 minutes per side.
