Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground sausage or pork
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons pizza or marinara sauce (optional)
  • 2 oz green bell pepper (optional)
  • 4 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 4 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 14 slices pepperoni

Directions:

  1. Cook the Sausage:
    • In an ovenproof skillet, cook and crumble the ground sausage or pork until fully cooked, approximately 5-6 minutes.
  2. Season and Add Sauce:
    • Once the sausage is cooked, stir in Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and marinara sauce (if using).
  3. Cook the Vegetables:
    • Push the cooked sausage to the sides of the skillet and add bell peppers or any preferred vegetables to the center. Cook until they have softened, then mix them into the rest of the cooked meat. Remove from heat.
  4. Layer Toppings and Cheese:
    • Sprinkle most of the shredded cheese evenly over the cooked sausage layer.
    • Top with pepperoni slices or your choice of toppings.
    • Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese over the top.
  5. Broil:
    • Place the skillet in the oven under the broiler set to high for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese has melted and become bubbly.
