Keto Smoky and Spicy Cauliflower and Cheese Soup


4 cups chicken broth

2 cups heavy cream

1/2 a head of cauliflower, chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 an onion, diced


2 tbsp butter

1 cup shredded aged cheddar

1 cup smoked gouda

Cayenne pepper, black pepper and salt to taste

Paprika (smoked paprika preferably)


  1. Cook your bacon and chop into small pieces

  2. Sauté onion in butter and bacon grease, add minced garlic a minute before your onions are done

  3. Add broth, cauliflower and cayenne (to taste). Bring to a boil and simmer 15 mins or until cauliflower is soft. Remember that cayenne gets spicier as it cooks.

  4. Add cream and reheat

  5. Blend with a hand blender or regular blender (don’t burn yourself!)

  6. Stir in cheese until melted

  7. Add black pepper and salt to taste

  8. Pour into a bowl and top with chopped bacon and paprika

Makes 6 servings (depending on how hungry you are). 2.6 net carbs per serving.
