Keto Wonder Bread Chaffle
This Wonder Bread Chaffle is a delightful low-carb alternative, providing a satisfying crunch and versatility for your keto meals.
- 1 Egg
- 3 tbsp Almond Flour
- 1 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Water
- Begin by preheating your mini waffle maker.
- In a bowl, whisk the egg until it’s well beaten.
- Add 3 tablespoons of almond flour, 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise, 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1 teaspoon of water to the beaten egg. Stir the mixture until all the ingredients are well combined. You should have a smooth batter.
- Once your waffle maker is heated and ready, carefully pour half of the batter into the center of the waffle maker. It may spread out a bit when you close the lid, so don’t overfill.
- Close the waffle maker’s lid and allow it to cook for approximately 3-5 minutes. Cooking times can vary depending on your waffle maker, so keep an eye on it. The chaffle is ready when it’s golden brown and crispy.
- Carefully remove the cooked chaffle from the waffle maker, and set it aside for about 2-3 minutes. This helps it crisp up even more.
- Repeat the instructions again for the second chaffle using the remaining batter.
- Once both chaffles are cooked and slightly cooled, you can enjoy them. They are wonderfully crispy, reminiscent of the texture of classic bread, making them an ideal keto-friendly option for sandwiches or as a bread substitute.
