This Wonder Bread Chaffle is a delightful low-carb alternative, providing a satisfying crunch and versatility for your keto meals.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Egg
  • 3 tbsp Almond Flour
  • 1 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Water

Instructions:

  1. Begin by preheating your mini waffle maker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk the egg until it’s well beaten.
  3. Add 3 tablespoons of almond flour, 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise, 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1 teaspoon of water to the beaten egg. Stir the mixture until all the ingredients are well combined. You should have a smooth batter.
  4. Once your waffle maker is heated and ready, carefully pour half of the batter into the center of the waffle maker. It may spread out a bit when you close the lid, so don’t overfill.
  5. Close the waffle maker’s lid and allow it to cook for approximately 3-5 minutes. Cooking times can vary depending on your waffle maker, so keep an eye on it. The chaffle is ready when it’s golden brown and crispy.
  6. Carefully remove the cooked chaffle from the waffle maker, and set it aside for about 2-3 minutes. This helps it crisp up even more.
  7. Repeat the instructions again for the second chaffle using the remaining batter.
  8. Once both chaffles are cooked and slightly cooled, you can enjoy them. They are wonderfully crispy, reminiscent of the texture of classic bread, making them an ideal keto-friendly option for sandwiches or as a bread substitute.
