3-Ingredient Strawberry Jello Dessert
3-Ingredient High-Protein, Low-Carb Strawberry Jello Dessert
This easy, creamy strawberry dessert is made with just 3 ingredients! It’s sugar-free, high in protein, low in carbohydrates, and perfect for a refreshing sweet treat without added sugar.
Prep Time: 10 minutes Chilling Time: 3–4 hours Total Time: 3 hours 10 minutes Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 1 box (3 oz / 85 g) sugar-free strawberry Jello
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1½ cups plain, nonfat Greek yogurt (unsweetened)
Optional: Fresh strawberries for garnish.
Instructions
1. Dissolve the Jello: Add the sugar-free strawberry Jello powder to a heatproof mixing bowl. Pour in 1 cup of boiling water and whisk for 1–2 minutes until the powder is completely dissolved.
2. Cool the mixture: Let the gelatin mixture cool for about 15–20 minutes, until it is no longer hot but has not started to set. This helps prevent the yogurt from curdling.
3. Add the Greek yogurt: Place the Greek yogurt in a separate bowl and whisk until smooth. Gradually pour in the cooled Jello mixture, whisking continuously until everything is fully combined and smooth.
4. Make it fluffy (optional): For a lighter texture, use an electric hand mixer to beat the mixture for 1–2 minutes. Avoid whipping it while the gelatin is still hot.
5. Transfer to serving dishes: Pour the mixture into four small dessert glasses, ramekins, or a serving bowl.
6. Chill until set: Refrigerate for 3–4 hours, or until the dessert is firm and creamy.
7. Serve: Garnish with a few fresh strawberry slices if desired. Serve chilled.

Tips for a High-Protein, Low-Carb Dessert
- Choose plain, nonfat Greek yogurt: It provides protein without the extra sugar found in many flavored yogurts.
- Check your Jello label: Sugar-free gelatin is generally low in carbohydrates, but ingredients and nutrition values vary by brand.
- For extra protein: Replace ½ cup of the yogurt with a little additional plain Greek yogurt or add a small amount of unflavored whey protein, blending thoroughly to avoid lumps. This changes the original three-ingredient recipe.
- For weight management: Enjoy it as a portion-controlled dessert. Its calories and protein depend on the yogurt and gelatin brands used.
