πŸ• Low-Carb Cheesy Pizza Rolls

These cheesy pizza rolls are perfect for pizza cravings without traditional high-carb dough. They feature a low-carb pizza crust, melty provolone cheese, savory pizza sauce, and your favorite toppings. Great for snacks, lunch, or an easy appetizer!

20 min

Prep time

12–15 min

Cook time

16 rolls

Yield

Ingredients

1 batch low-carb pizza dough (about 12–16 oz, depending on recipe)

ΒΎ cup shredded provolone cheese (85 g)

Β½ cup thick, low-carb pizza sauce, divided

Β½ cup sliced pepperoni or cooked chicken (optional)

ΒΌ teaspoon Italian seasoning

ΒΌ teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Olive oil or cooking spray for the baking tray

Note: The original recipe refers to a separate low-carb dough recipe, so the exact dough ingredients depend on which recipe you use. A fathead dough made with mozzarella, cream cheese, almond flour, and egg is one option.

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough

Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Place the prepared low-carb dough between sheets of parchment paper and roll it into a rectangle about ΒΌ inch thick.

  1. Add the sauce and toppings

Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle with provolone, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and your choice of pepperoni or cooked chicken.

  1. Roll it up

Starting from the long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Gently press the seam to seal it. If the dough feels too soft to cut, refrigerate it for 10–15 minutes.

  1. Slice the rolls

Using a sharp knife, cut the log into 16 pieces, approximately ½–¾ inch thick. Place them cut-side up on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each roll.

  1. Bake until golden

Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the rolls are cooked through, lightly golden, and the cheese is bubbling. Thicker or wetter dough may need a few extra minutes.

  1. Serve and enjoy

Allow the rolls to cool for 3–5 minutes. Sprinkle with Parmesan if desired and serve with the remaining pizza sauce for dipping.

Nutrition information

The nutrition values below are estimates, not verified values. The original claim of 25 calories per roll may be too low, depending on the dough and fillings.

Nutrient Per roll (estimated)
Calories 60–100
Protein 3–6 g
Fat 4–7 g
Net carbs 1–3 g

Actual values depend on the dough recipe, cheese, sauce, toppings, and portion size. Divide the total nutrition for all ingredients by 16 to calculate the most accurate per-roll values.

Tips for the best pizza rolls

  • Keep carbs low: Choose pizza sauce with no added sugar and check the label for net carbs.
  • Add protein: Use cooked chicken, turkey pepperoni, or lean ground chicken.
  • Prevent soggy rolls: Avoid using too much sauce inside the dough.
  • Make ahead: Assemble and slice the rolls, refrigerate, and bake when ready.
  • Storage: Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in an oven or air fryer until hot.
