Bacon Cheddar Chaffle Bun

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon almond flour
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (or cheese of your choice)
  • Cooked bacon or bacon bits (optional)
  • Toppings of your choice for the burger (e.g., sugar-free ketchup, mayo, lettuce, tomato, additional cheese)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your waffle iron.
  2. In a small bowl, scramble the egg.
  3. Add almond flour and shredded Cheddar cheese to the scrambled egg. Mix until well combined.
  4. If desired, crumble cooked bacon or add bacon bits to the batter and mix.
  5. Once the waffle iron is heated, lightly grease it with cooking spray or brush it with oil.
  6. Spoon half of the batter onto the waffle iron and spread it out evenly. Close the waffle iron and cook for about 4 minutes, or until the chaffle bun is golden brown and crispy.
  7. Carefully remove the chaffle bun from the waffle iron and set it aside. Repeat the process with the remaining batter to make the second chaffle bun.
  8. While the chaffle buns are cooking, prepare your burger by grilling or cooking it according to your preference.
  9. Once the chaffle buns are ready, assemble your burger by placing the cooked burger patty on one chaffle bun and adding your desired toppings such as sugar-free ketchup, mayo, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and bacon.
  10. Top the burger with the second chaffle bun to complete it.
