Carnivore Pizza Cheeseburger

A cheesy, juicy, meat-lover’s dream! This Carnivore Pizza Cheeseburger combines a golden mozzarella-Parmesan crust with seasoned ground beef and melted cheddar cheese. It’s high in protein, very low in carbohydrates, and perfect for a filling keto or carnivore-inspired meal.

Recipe Details

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 25–30 minutes
  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Servings: 4
  • Diet: High-protein, low-carb, carnivore-inspired

Ingredients

Cheese Crust

  • 2 cups (200–225 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup (45–50 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg

Beef Topping

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 4 slices cheddar or American cheese

Optional Seasonings

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

For a strict carnivore version, omit plant-based seasonings and use only animal-based ingredients and salt.

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the oven

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray or round pizza pan with parchment paper.

Step 2: Prepare the cheese crust

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the mozzarella and Parmesan. Microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between each interval, until melted. Allow it to cool slightly, then mix in the egg until a dough-like mixture forms.

Step 3: Shape the crust

Place the cheese mixture onto the lined baking tray. Press it into a round or rectangular shape about ¼ inch thick.

Step 4: Bake the crust

Bake for 8–12 minutes, until the crust is set and golden around the edges. Remove from the oven and carefully drain any excess oil.

Step 5: Cook the ground beef

While the crust bakes, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, season with salt and black pepper, and cook for 7–9 minutes, breaking it into small crumbles until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease if necessary.

Step 6: Add the beef topping

Spread the cooked ground beef evenly over the baked cheese crust. Arrange the cheddar or American cheese slices on top.

Step 7: Bake again

Return the pizza cheeseburger to the oven for 5–8 minutes, until the cheese topping is melted and bubbling. For a more golden finish, broil for 1–2 minutes while watching carefully.

Step 8: Rest and slice

Let the pizza cheeseburger rest for 3–5 minutes so the cheese crust firms up. Slice into four portions and serve warm.

Estimated Nutrition

Per serving, assuming 4 servings:

Calories

550–700

Protein

40–50 g

Total carbs

3–6 g

Fat

40–52 g

Estimates vary by beef fat percentage and cheese brands. Cheese and eggs contain small amounts of carbohydrates, so this is very low-carb rather than guaranteed zero-carb.

Tips for the Best Results

  • For more protein: Choose lean ground beef or add extra cooked beef.
  • For a crispier crust: Bake the cheese base until golden before adding the toppings.
  • For easier slicing: Let it rest for a few minutes before cutting.
  • For strict carnivore eating: Use meat, eggs, cheese, and salt only, checking that your cheese contains no added starches or other unwanted ingredients.
  • For leftovers: Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days and reheat in the oven or air fryer.

Enjoy your Carnivore Pizza Cheeseburger! It delivers the rich flavor of a cheeseburger with a crispy, cheesy crust and plenty of protein—without traditional pizza dough or a bun.
