Easy Lemon Mousse
π Easy Lemon Mousse
A quick, creamy and refreshing dessert thatβs perfect for beginners! It needs only a few simple ingredients and comes together with very little effort.
π Ingredients
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy whipping cream, chilled
- Β½ cup (120 g) cream cheese, softened
- ΒΌ cup (50β60 g) powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon finely grated lemon zest
- Β½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt

- Prepare the lemon mixture
In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add powdered sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, vanilla and a tiny pinch of salt. Beat until well combined. - Whip the cream
In a separate cold bowl, whip the chilled heavy cream until it forms soft-to-medium peaks. Be careful not to overbeat it. - Combine
Gently fold the whipped cream into the lemon mixture in 2β3 additions. Use a spatula and fold slowly to keep the mousse light and fluffy. - Chill
Divide the mousse between small serving glasses or bowls. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until nicely chilled and set. - Garnish & serve
Top with a little lemon zest, a small dollop of whipped cream, or a thin lemon slice just before serving.

- Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
- Make sure the cream is very cold before whipping.
- Donβt overmix after adding the whipped creamβthe gentle folding keeps the mousse airy.
- For a stronger lemon flavor, add a little extra zest rather than lots of lemon juice.

Keep refrigerated and enjoy within 2β3 days.
Optional: For a no-added-sugar version, powdered monk fruit sweetener can be used in place of powdered sugar. Start with a small amount and adjust to taste.
