creamy, high-protein keto-friendly version with plenty of bacon, cheddar, and tangy mustard.

🥓 Loaded Deviled Eggs

Creamy, cheesy, bacon-loaded deviled eggs with a tangy mustard filling and fresh green onions. They’re an easy low-carb, keto-friendly, high-protein snack or appetizer that’s perfect for parties, gatherings, or meal prep.

Servings: 24 deviled egg halves
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 10–12 minutes
Chill Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: About 45 minutes

🥚 Ingredients

  • 12 large eggs
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1–2 tbsp yellow or Dijon mustard
  • 2–3 tbsp sour cream
  • 4 slices cooked bacon, finely crumbled
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 green onions, finely sliced
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Boil the eggs

Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water by about 1 inch.

Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover the pan, remove it from the heat, and let the eggs sit for 10–12 minutes.

Transfer the eggs immediately to a bowl of ice water and let them cool for at least 5 minutes.

2. Peel and slice

Carefully peel the eggs and rinse away any small pieces of shell.

Slice each egg lengthwise. Gently remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl.

Arrange the egg whites on a serving platter.

3. Make the creamy filling

Mash the egg yolks with a fork until finely crumbled.

Add mayonnaise, mustard, sour cream, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Mix until smooth and creamy.

4. Load it up

Fold in about half of the crumbled bacon, half of the cheddar cheese, and half of the sliced green onions.

Taste and adjust the mustard, salt, and pepper as needed.

5. Fill the eggs

Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture evenly into the egg-white halves.

For a prettier presentation, transfer the filling to a piping bag or zip-top bag, snip off the corner, and pipe it into each egg.

6. Add the toppings

Top each deviled egg with the remaining bacon, shredded cheddar, and green onions.

Finish with a light sprinkle of smoked paprika for extra color and flavor.

7. Chill and serve

Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes before serving. Keep chilled until ready to eat.

🔥 Optional Loaded Toppings

For an extra-loaded version, add:

  • Diced jalapeños
  • Chopped pickles
  • Crispy turkey bacon
  • A little hot sauce
  • Chopped chives
  • Extra shredded cheddar
  • A sprinkle of smoked paprika

💪 High-Protein Tip

For a higher-protein, lighter version, replace ¼ cup of the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt. You can also use turkey bacon to reduce the fat while keeping the smoky flavor.

Approximate nutrition per 2 halves: 180–210 calories, 8–10 g protein, 1–2 g net carbs, depending on the mayonnaise, bacon, and cheese used.

Keto note: These deviled eggs are naturally very low in carbohydrates and are suitable for a keto or low-carb eating pattern.
