πŸ₯œπŸŒ Peanut Butter Banana Protein Smoothie

Creamy, naturally sweet, and packed with protein! This easy smoothie makes a delicious breakfast or satisfying snack and comes together in just a few minutes.

πŸ₯€ Ingredients

Makes 1 large serving

  • 1 medium ripe banana
  • ΒΎ cup milk of choice β€” dairy, almond, soy, or oat
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • Β½ cup plain Greek yogurt, optional but recommended for extra protein
  • Β½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ΒΌ teaspoon cinnamon, optional
  • ½–1 cup ice cubes
  • Optional: 1–2 tablespoons water or extra milk if needed for blending

πŸ‘©β€πŸ³ Instructions

  1. Add the ingredients: Place the banana, milk, peanut butter, Greek yogurt, vanilla, cinnamon, and ice into a blender.
  2. Blend: Blend on high for about 30–60 seconds, or until completely smooth and creamy.
  3. Adjust the texture: If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash of milk and blend again. If you prefer it colder and thicker, add a little more ice.
  4. Taste: Since ripe bananas provide plenty of natural sweetness, you may not need any additional sweetener.
  5. Serve: Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.

πŸ’‘ Tips & Variations

  • More protein: Use Greek yogurt and milk with a higher protein content.
  • Extra peanut-butter flavor: Add another teaspoon of peanut butter.
  • Chocolate version: Add 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder.
  • Make it extra creamy: Use a frozen banana instead of a fresh one and reduce the ice.
  • Dairy-free: Use unsweetened soy or almond milk and a dairy-free yogurt.

⭐ Recipe Note

For the creamiest smoothie, use a very ripe or frozen banana. Frozen banana also gives the smoothie a thick, milkshake-like texture without needing lots of ice.
