Prep Time: 15 minutes · Cook Time: 15 minutes · Total Time: 30 minutes · Servings: 4
Ingredients
For the Burger Wraps
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 4 slices American cheese
- 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- ½ cup diced white onion
- ½ cup sliced dill pickles
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp oil, for toasting (as needed)
For the Big Mac Sauce
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp finely chopped dill pickles
- 1 tsp pickle juice
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the burger sauce
In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, chopped dill pickles, pickle juice, paprika, and garlic powder. Mix until smooth and creamy. Refrigerate while preparing the beef to allow the flavors to blend.
Step 2: Season the beef
Place the ground beef in a bowl and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until the seasonings are evenly distributed.
Step 3: Cook the beef
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned beef and break it into small crumbles with a spatula. Cook for 7–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and fully cooked, reaching an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C). Drain excess grease if necessary.
Step 4: Prepare the tortillas
Lay the four tortillas on a clean surface. Spread approximately 1 tablespoon of burger sauce down the center of each tortilla, leaving space around the edges for folding.
Step 5: Assemble the wraps
Divide the cooked beef evenly among the tortillas. Add one slice of American cheese to each wrap, followed by diced onions and sliced dill pickles. Add the shredded lettuce and a little extra burger sauce.
Step 6: Fold the wraps
Fold the left and right sides of each tortilla inward, then roll it tightly from the bottom to form a secure wrap. Keep the seam underneath to prevent it from opening during cooking.
Step 7: Toast until golden
Lightly grease a skillet or griddle with oil and heat over medium heat. Place each wrap seam-side down and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the tortilla is golden brown and crispy and the cheese is melted.
Step 8: Serve and enjoy
Remove the wraps from the skillet and let them rest for 1 minute. Cut each wrap diagonally in half and serve warm with extra Big Mac sauce and pickles on the side.
