🌶️🍋 Spicy Jalapeño Margarita
Whoever suggested this—THANK YOU! 😍 If you’ve been missing a good spicy margarita, this jalapeño-infused version is seriously delicious: bright, refreshing, citrusy, and with just the right amount of heat.
🛒 Ingredients
Jalapeño Lemonade
- 2 fresh jalapeños
- 2 cups lemonade
- 2 shots tequila (about 3 oz / 90 ml)
Optional Margarita Finish
- Ice
- Lime wedges
- Coarse salt or Tajín, for the rim
- Extra jalapeño slices
- Fresh lime juice, to taste
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Prepare the Jalapeños 🌶️
Wash the jalapeños and thinly slice them.
For more heat, keep the seeds and membranes.
For a milder margarita, remove most of the seeds and white membrane.
Place the sliced jalapeños in a jar or pitcher.
2. Infuse the Lemonade 🍋
Pour the lemonade over the jalapeños.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
The longer the jalapeños sit, the more spicy and flavorful the lemonade becomes.
3. Strain
The next day, strain the lemonade through a fine-mesh strainer to remove the jalapeño pieces.
For a stronger spicy flavor, you can leave a few slices in the drink.
4. Make the Margarita 🍹
Fill two glasses with ice.
Divide the jalapeño-infused lemonade between the glasses.
Add 1 shot of tequila to each glass and stir well.
Add a squeeze of fresh lime juice if you’d like more citrusy flavor.
5. Rim the Glass ✨
Run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass.
Dip the rim into coarse salt or Tajín.
Garnish with a fresh jalapeño slice and lime wedge.
🔥 Adjust the Heat
Mild: Remove seeds and infuse for a shorter time.
Medium: Use sliced jalapeños with some seeds.
Extra Spicy: Keep the seeds and membranes and let the jalapeños infuse overnight.
❤️ Final Touch
Serve ice-cold with plenty of lime and a jalapeño garnish. The combination of sweet lemonade, tequila, fresh citrus, and jalapeño heat makes this one seriously addictive spicy margarita! 🌶️🍋🍹
